Information collected automatically
OpenCourts uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It may collect page views, the page URL, referral source, approximate location, browser, operating system, device type, and the time of the visit. Vercel states that Web Analytics does not use cookies and reports this information in aggregate without storing your IP address in the analytics data. Read more in Vercel's Web Analytics privacy documentation.
Like most websites, the services that deliver OpenCourts may also process technical information such as your IP address and user agent to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
Location access
If you select the location control on the map, your browser will ask for permission to access your device's location. OpenCourts uses that location in your browser to position the map. The app does not send your precise location to the OpenCourts server or store it.
Location access is optional. You can deny permission or change it at any time in your browser or device settings.
Map and external services
The interactive map downloads map styles and tiles from OpenFreeMap. Its service receives map requests and may process browser details, referral information, timestamps, and the map tiles requested. OpenFreeMap states that it does not routinely store IP addresses, but may temporarily log them during a security incident. See the OpenFreeMap privacy policy. Selecting “Get directions” opens Google Maps in a new tab; information you provide there is handled under Google's own privacy practices.
Information you send
If you contact OpenCourts by email, the email address, message, and any other information you include will be received. This information is used only to respond to you, investigate a facility report, or consider your feedback. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
Use, sharing, and retention
Information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve OpenCourts, and to respond to messages. OpenCourts does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that support the site, including Vercel and OpenFreeMap, or disclosed when required by law.
Analytics information is retained according to the settings and retention periods of the analytics service. Email correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received or to meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You can use the core map without enabling location access. You may also use browser privacy settings or content-blocking tools to limit analytics and third-party requests, although blocking map resources may prevent the map from displaying correctly.
To ask what personal information OpenCourts holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, contact the address below. Some information may need to be retained when required by law.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when OpenCourts changes how it handles information or the services it uses. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
